Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have doubts?

What is Pruning?

It is a trimming of branches and leaves from a tree, that is, reducing the size of the tree or shrub by eliminating branches that are on the outer part. It also serves to improve production in fruit trees.

It is the control of the desired size for the tree, thus avoiding complications due to its natural size, such as: obstruction of wiring, lifting of sidewalks, and trees falling during the rainy season.

What is FICUS?

It is a genus that includes around 900 taxa among trees, shrubs, and climbers.

Suitable for temperate zones, its leaves are always green.

We recycle FICUS Benjamina, native to South and Southeast Asia.

It is the official tree of Bangkok, Thailand.

Its natural size is between 20m to 25m.

It is an ornamental tree.

What is the difference between a Cork sheet and a FICUS sheet?

Cork comes from the Cork Oak tree; during its growth, these trees thicken their trunk, accumulating dead and hollow cells towards the outer wood: cork itself. This layer isolates and protects the most sensitive areas of the tree.

FICUS recycles leaves and branches from pruning done by gardeners, creating a handmade sheet oriented towards Eco-design.

Neither requires the felling of the tree to obtain the material.

What is the purpose of the FICUS sheet?

The FICUS sheet is an artisanal agglomerate that serves to cover any surface for Construction or Design (Fashion, Industrial, and Interiors).

Industrial qualities: it is thermal and acoustic, has low combustion, and does not retain moisture, mold, or moth.

It can be pyrographed with laser cutting, sublimated, sewn, or cut with scissors or a craft knife.

How long does the material last, and is it resistant?

The material is made for daily use; however, if you exceed the force it receives, it may get damaged or break.

If you want to bend the material, it is necessary to heat it to 200°C to take on a cylindrical shape.
